Abstract

The paper describes designed and fabricated ring-shaped contamination detection system based on the effect of total internal reflection. The design of the detection system was determined by optoelectronic and thermal phenomena computer simulations. The performance of the assembled system was confirmed experimentally and the input range for setting the system sensitivity was ~10%.
