Abstract

During its first decade, feminist therapy was rich with political analysis. Although many feminist therapists have remained loyal to that original stance, professionalization of feminist therapy has led to a de-emphasis on feminist political analysis. This article redefines and reclaims empowerment from a feminist political perspective and proposes a framework for conducting political analysis in feminist psychotherapy © 1998 by The Haworth Press, Inc.
