Biochemical and molecular studies of photosynthesis

Abstract

Recent research on photosynthesis is reviewed, including electron transport and the complexities of the Rubisco enzyme, its biosynthesis, assembly and activity parameters. Aspects of gene expression are also considered, together with interactions between plant organelles, source-sink relationships in the allocation of photosynthate, and the influence of the environment on photosynthesis-related reactions. © 1991.
