Validity Analysis on Introducing of Small home appliances Recycling System: Actual Condition Survey in Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture

Abstract

Ministry of Environment announced its intention to enforce small home appliances recycling system in full scale starting April 2014. We conducted the field survey on how small home appliances are actually disposed of in Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture, which is appointed as subject to the pilot program by Ministry of Environment since August 2011. This paper consists of the summarized results of such field survey and the study regarding validity of small home appliances recycling system, which will be enforced in Japan in a future. © 2013, JAPAN MACRO-ENGINEERS SOCIETY.
