Abstract

I discuss old and recent aspects of quantum chronodynamics (QCD) jet emission and escribe how hard QCD results are used to construct Monte Carlo programs for generating adron emission in hard collisions. I focus on the program HERWIG at Large Hadron Collider (LHC). © 2008 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
