Abstract

The breast is occasionally the site of metastatic tumors from elsewhere in the body. This chapter reviews the literature about the subject, outlines the features that would help differentiating such metastatic lesions from primary breast cancer, and provides illustrated examples. Differentiating metastatic ovarian carcinoma from primary breast carcinoma is discussed in more detail, as well as differentiating metastatic neuroendocrine tumors from primary breast carcinomas with neuroendocrine differentiation.
