Amazon, ethnomycological studies from the 60 and 70 decades report the mushroom species consumption by indigenous groups such as the Yanomami, Tucano, Nambiquara, Caiabi, Txicão and Txucurramãe. Recent studies relate the ethnoknowledge of the Uitoto, Muinane and Andoke people of Colombian Amazon, the Hotï people of the Venezuelan Amazon and rural peoples of the Peruvian Amazon In this work, scientific names of compiled ethnomycological studies were updated, thus reducing confusion and duplication of effort aiming to adjust the understanding of the results published. Therefore, were consulted in the databases and taxonomic papers of mycology. List of thirty-four species of edible mushrooms was obtained. Of these related species at the moment, ten species were found in the Manaus region. The genera A u r ic u la r ia , Fa reported by indigenous groups and rural people of the Amazon. These genera have species with culture volu s , L en ti n u la , L en ti n u s s en s u s tr ic to , Pa n u s and Pleu r otus are more potential of wild mushrooms for the Amazon region.
