Abstract

A 79-year-old male with a history of hypertension, diabetes, coronary artery bypass grafting, recently diagnosed with atrial flutter and referred for electrophysiology study and catheter ablation. Initial 12-lead electrocardiogram (Fig. 52.1) showed organized atrial activity with a cycle length of approximately 220 ms with negative F waves in leads II, III, and aVF, positive F waves in V1, suggesting typical counterclockwise atrial flutter. Conduction to ventricles was predominantly 4:1. © Springer-Verlag London Limited 2011.
