Research of major basic courses of mechanical engineering

Abstract

The idea of general education and quality education has been commonly accepted by universities in China, with large shortening of class hours for major basic or major courses. How to solve the contradiction between the development of mechanical engineering and promotion of education quality is the urgent issue for education researchers. Taking the teaching research of Metal Technology for example, study the nature and purpose of the curriculum from the view of system science, improve course content system according to the characteristics of major basic courses, improve students' study initiative by using modern teaching methods, and develop students' innovative ability are the right road for teaching reform of major basic courses of mechanical engineering. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media.
