Abstract

In recent years, as the use of cloud computing has spread, the internet of things (IoT) has also developed. In the era of IoT, all devices will be connected to the network. Instead of performing all processing in the cloud, it will be necessary to process some data in a node closer to the source. Therefore, we propose managed network blocks (MNBs), which can deal with even small networks such as home networks. We also describe network address translation (NAT) traversal, which is a challenge of MNB. In this paper, we demonstrate the usefulness of an MNB based on mist architecture. We also describe web application programming interface-based NAT traversal.
