Abstract

Over 20 years ago the sentinel report was published on a disease entity now known as Brugada syndrome. Brugada syndrome is characterized by a covedtype ST segment in the right precordial leads and shows a propensity for ventricular and supraventricular arrhythmias. In this chapter its prevalence and clinical characteristics are summarized. This also includes an overview on the latest consensus report and an overview on the treatment of both ventricular and supraventricular arrhythmias in Brugada syndrome patients.
