Abstract

Firstly, in order to investigate the noise generation mechanisms of the pantograph, the key source in aerodynamic noise generation, the basic models of a circular cylinder and a series of rectangular cylinders were numerical studied respectively and compared in detail. Secondly, the aerodynamic noise sources of a high-speed train were visualized, through the numerical simulation of a real three-coach high-speed train. Finally, the far-field noise levels are given in 350 km/h and 400 km/h. Based on the results, flow and noise source generation mechanisms on the high-speed train were revealed. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.
