Nowadays, the world is facing a pandemic of COVID 19, a very contagious disease. However, people do not take it seriously and choose not to respect the necessary biosecurity measures to avoid a possible infection. In this paper, we present a proposal of a sensor-based systems to control the user’s capacity in stores of shopping centers that are points with a high risk of mass infections. The prototype consists of a set of sensors and a system of a web systems that allows controlling the capacity of the stores as people enter and leave the place. When exceeding the store capacity an alert indicates that due to security, no more people can enter the store.
