Abstract

Supporting floating point operations on coarse-grained reconfigruable architecture (CGRA) becomes essential as the increase of demands on various floating point inclusive applications such as multimedia processing, 3D graphics, augmented reality, or object recognition. However, efficient support for floating point operations on CGRA has not been sufficiently studied yet. This paper proposes a novel technique to enhance utilization of integer units for high-throughput floating point operations on CGRA with experimental results. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media Dordrecht(Outside the USA).
