Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: To assess whether the routine administration of prophylactic antibiotics to women after normal (uncomplicated) vaginal birth, compared with placebo or no antibiotic prophylaxis, reduces postpartum maternal infectious morbidities and improves outcomes.
