Abstract

This is a first analysis of the chromosomes of four agricultural strains of Helianthus annuus which have been found to differ in radiosensitivity (data not included here). Two of the strains (HB and HR) were derived from the Russian variety Peridovic. The numder of satellited chromosomes reported here has not previously been found in any variety of Helianthus annuus. © 1979, Japan Mendel Society, International Society of Cytology.
