CsLiB6O10 (CLBO) single crystal is one of the common nonlinear optical materials, and we open a new possibility of CLBO for ionizing radiation measurements. In photoluminescence (PL), an intense emission was observed at around 530 nm, and PL decay time was 535 ns. When X-ray induced scintillation spectrum was measured, an intense emission peak appeared at around 530 nm. The scintillation decay time upon pulsed X-ray excitation resulted 687 ns and 3.13 μs. The scintillation light yield of CLBO under 137Cs γ-ray irradiation was 64 000 ph MeV-1, and the energy resolution at 662 keV was 8 0.3%.
