Abstract

IQBE has been shown as a promising technique to assistthe users in the query formulation process. In thisframework, queries are automatically derived from setsof documents provided by them. However, the differentproposals found in the specialized literature areusually validated in non realistic informationretrieval environments. In this work, we design severalexperimental setups to create real-like retrievalenvironments and validate the applicability of apreviously proposed multiobjective evolutionary IQBEtechnique for fuzzy queries on them.
