Descriptors of Sports and Technical Readiness of 1st Year Students of the Main Department of Educational Groups of the GPP-Basketball in Digital Technologies of the Discipline “Physical Education and Sport”

Abstract

The use of digital technologies in the academic discipline “Physical Education and Sport” assumes the presence of objective indicators to assess the effectiveness of physical education of students, one of which is the sports and technical preparedness of students of the main department. The dynamics indicators of sports and technical preparedness of the 1st year students of the main department of General Physical Preparedness (GPP) groups with a sports orientation (basketball) have been investigated. The male students showed a tendency to improve the dribbling time and effectiveness of free throws within the period from the end of 1st till the end of 2nd semester. The results of vertical jumps have not changed. The female students showed a tendency to reduce the results of vertical jumps and a significant improvement of free throws effectiveness. The dribble time has not changed. The male students outperform the female ones in both vertical jumps and dribble time at the end of the 1st and the end of the 2nd semester. At the same time there are no significant differences in the effectiveness of free throws.
