Abstract

Large-format arbitrary surface projection technology has been widely used in exhibitions, product launches, and virtual simulations in recent years. To solve the key point matching problem caused by the application of traditional structured light scanning method in large format arbitrary surface technology, we presented an optimization method including objective function derivation and constraint establishment. The objective function was used to minimize the distance between display image space and key points in projector’s image space, while the constraint was used to ensure the production of expected shapes for control points and meshes of the Bezier surface. Our results showed significant reduce of registration error of the key points.
