Abstract

VLSI design developing at an exponential rate has led to the ultramodern society we live in today. The current paper designs a circuitry for Schmitt trigger based on voltage differencing transconductance amplifier (VDTA). The circuit comprises of only one VDTA block and two resistors. The bias current taken is 50 µA. Using Cadence 180 nm virtuoso tool-CMOS technology, Schmitt trigger circuit put forward is evaluated. The simulated output waveform, hysteresis curve, and temperature stability plot of the proposed Schmitt trigger are presented.
