Abstract

Classification is important for decision-making tasks of everyday human activity. A classification helps to form sense of landscape and place those landscapes into categories or classes supported on several of observed attributes related to object. It helps to determine land cover and land use. Classification of use of land and land cover is the most crucial area of satellite image and remote sensing interpretation. All techniques for classification are split into supervised and unsupervised classification. In this paper, use and land cover classification techniques are implemented using KNN. Techniques implemented using the MATLABR2012.
