Abstract

examine more recent data and hypotheses about the earliest [infant] coordinations / in order to avoid an a priori theoretical position, I shall start with a broad, definition of s. m. [sensory-motor] coordination and adopt a behavioral point of view, and offer an analytic decomposition of coordination behaviour in order to detect constraints, obscurities and to distinguish points of discussion / speculate about the function of earliest s. m. coordination sequential description and analysis [detecting and localizing a target, mobilizing a motor system, planning and programming the movement, stopping the movement] / the function of early sensory-motor coordinations in development (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2019 APA, all rights reserved)
