Abstract

Polysulfones represent a class of high temperature, hydrolytically stable polymers that have found wide usage in many industries. Twenty-one years ago when Union Carbide first introduced the first aromatic polymers in this series, it was a new product requiring extensive publicity and technical support. The same holds true today. Continuing product and application development activities result in new usages for these materials. There are many other polymer systems to choose from today; but with the base established over the past twenty years, UDEL Polysulfone remains in the forefront of these activities. 5 refs.
