Abstract

This chapter discusses the children at risk of neglect and secondary prevention for them and their families with reference to: 1. Concepts of children at risk of neglect and goals and interventions for secondary prevention 2. Situational analysis of children at risk of neglect when they have special needs, or when their parents are substance users, or HIV/AIDS-infected, divorcing or imprisoned, child-headed households and street children and 3. Rights-based supportive interventions with children in the above situations, aiming at secondary prevention
