Abstract

This paper presents design issues of Sliding Mode Controller (SMC) for High Switching Frequency Converters which are used in sustainable electric vehicle charging, DC Micro Grid, Solar PV Systems, Telecommunications etc..Stat Space Averaging technique is used to know the mathematical model of the Active Clamp Forward Converter with current Doubler Rectifier (ACFC with CDR). The Proposed model utilizes for simple design of SMC for ACFC with CDR. And the effect of Magnetizing Inductance on efficiency of the converter is observed and remedies are discussed. The designed model is validated by applying disturbance at source and load end. Finally the results were presented for 48 Input, 5V/20A DC Output Converter operating at 100 KHz.
