Digitalisation has fundamentally shaped the way people migrate. On the one hand, refugees rely on digital services to navigate, access information, contact smugglers and stay in touch with their families and other refugees. On the other hand, marriage migration, labour migration and student mobility are facilitated by online matchmaking, recruitment and advertisements. This chapter conceptualises the ensemble of digital technologies facilitating migration as Digital Migration Infrastructures. It also provides an overview over the literature and highlights the growing impact of digital technologies on migration processes whilst identifying the remaining research gaps.
