Abstract

The Argentine Ant, Linepithema humile, was found in the coastal area of the Inland Sea in the western part of Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. The species has been observed at the same site every year since 1993, suggesting that it is already established in Japan. This may be the first record of L. humile in Asia.
