Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to outline the context of CSR activities also in a geographic outline. The location and clustering of CSR issues gives the basis for comparison, benchmarking and empowerment to refer to a broader perspective. This chapter is a bridge between CSR knowledge and practice in Poland and the regional context within the Visegrad Group. It is obvious that the socio-cultural, historical and economic backgrounds of the societies in this region differ from each other. But despite this variability there seems to be a consensus that, for analytical reasons, clustering CSR practices in the four Visegrad Countries (V4), against the wider—European or global context—is completely understandable.
