Abstract

Getting enough amounts of spare services for each task through service selection can improve the success ratio of service replacement, service re-planning and service re-selection, thus improves the reliability of composite service. In order to provide support to improve the reliability of composite services in the services selection stage, this paper proposes a reliability-driven web services selection method using particle swarm. Based on the definition of execution strategy, this paper presents a reliability evaluation model of composite service based on standby system. This paper focuses on the execution time constraints oriented reliability-driven services selection problem, and gives out an optimal selection method based on particles swarm. The experiment result validates the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed method. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
