Abstract

Abstract: A comprehensive study of composite materials based on a copolymer of ethylene with vinyl acetate in the presence of petroleum resins (PRs) has been carried out. The effect of PRs on the acid–base, physicomechanical, and adhesive properties of the compositions has been evaluated. It has been found that, in the presence of PRs, both the relative elongation at break and the tensile stress of the samples increase. The adhesive properties of modified polymer coatings on steel evaluated by the method of cathode peeling for some compositions also increase (the diameter of the defect decreases).
