Abstract

The mode of college English teaching oriented by formative evaluation is a kind of new teaching concept, which requires college English teachers to fully understand. Based on the author’ teaching and practice experience, this paper first introduced the connotation of formative evaluation, then analyzed the principles of formative evaluation in college English teaching, and finally discussed the strategies of college English teaching reform oriented by formative assessment in order to improve the quality of college English teaching.
