Abstract

The chapter looks into how Denmark has been embracing and keeping up the narrative of a well-meaning nation dedicating itself to the good and mutually beneficial causes that it believes in, despite certain challenging setbacks that have entered the world media. Furthermore, we will look at its pursuit of interests that are void of conflicts and try to dissect Denmark’s quest of promoting diplomacy and cooperation on the global stage by further paving the way for increased diplomatic ties and co-dependency. Also, the adaptation to and development of digital diplomacy in the modern era perfectly complements Denmark’s commitment to transnational peace and fostering of mutual interests. Through digital channels, a nation such as Denmark can engage with a broader audience and share its values and its wishes of cooperation while also projecting and maintaining a positive image of a conflict-neutral state dedicated to promoting global stability and unity; if at all successful and to what extent is the question.
