Advanced Internet of Things (IoT) technologies are preparing the way for a revolutionized future in which much of our daily devices would be interconnected. Such objects should be able to connect and interact with each other and their surroundings. This allows the automation of many activities. The interconnecting of IoT nodes involves stability, smooth authentication, robustness, and simple maintenance. The adoption of Internet of Things technology and a wide variety of sensing and acting capabilities have led to smart, intelligent devices that are more realistic but still highly enticing targets for cyber-attacks and cybercrimes. The mainline of protection against cyber-attacks and Cybercrime is vigilance and preparedness. The goal of the research is to explore the effect of IoT on Cybercrime in 2050 and beyond. Further, to analyze the cyber range premises and provide a detailed literature review covering unclassified security ranges and safety testbeds. In this analysis, we shall create a taxonomy for cyber continuum systems and examine existing literature based on architecture and scenarios and based on capabilities, features, methods, and evaluation criteria. This review's results should be seen as a basis for future efforts to build and evaluate cyber ranges in line with current best practices and lessons learned from contemporary study and development.
