In this study, we proposed two psychographic profiling models that can be applied in Socially Assistive Robots (SARs) for the elderly. We designed those models based on Self-Determination Theory (SDT), and those models can acquire user model about the domain of needs and the motivation styles respectively. We demonstrated the model can be implemented in interactive dialogue systems, and the psychographic profiling helps SARs deliver more meaningful and personalised service to the elderlies.
