Abstract

This paper introduced an embedded access platform, which took OMAP3530 as the center microprocessor and was built upon Linux2.6 operating system. By adopting SIM5218A and transplanting the PPP software package, the wireless data communication link between the embedded gateway and 3G network was set up. Also, by transplanting the Iptables tool and setting up a DHCP server, communication among the local equipments and the data conversion task between 3G network and Ethernet was completed. Results show that 3G remote control and data communication of the local equipments are realized. Compared with other access gateway, this system possesses the advantages of high-speed, stability and reliability. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.
