Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the distance education process based on the opinions of prospective teachers. The study group of the research, which was designed as a case study from qualitative research, was determined by the criterion sampling model. 28 prospective teachers, who are studying in Preschool Education, Classroom Education, Science Education, Turkish Education, Guidance and Psychological Counseling programs, constituted the working group of the research. Interviews were used in the data collection process of the research. The analysis of the data obtained from the interviews conducted via telephone and e-mail was carried out as descriptive analysis. Findings obtained as a result of descriptive analysis are presented in tables within the framework of the sub-problems of the research and supported by quotations. The learning-teaching process of the lessons during the distance education period, the evaluation process of the lessons during the distance education process, the advantages and disadvantages of the distance education process, the communication between the lecturer and the prospective teachers in the distance education process and suggestions for the distance education process were specified as the findings of the current study.
