Abstract

A highly virulent strain of Francisella noatunensis subsp. orientalis, STIRGUS- F2f7, was isolated from moribund red Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) farmed in Europe. In this communication, the complete genome sequencing of this bacterium is reported.
