Abstract

In the aim to decrease the user effort during the preference elicitation phase, we have studied the use of value ranges. We propose to allow the users to modify a reduced initial set of alternatives to easily report their preferences. We have investigated the consequences on the following steps of the decisional process. This is illustrated by examples taken in the search for common time slots for a meeting using an on-line group decision support system. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2014.
