Abstract

A new algorithm, the immune quantum-inspired genetic algorithm (IQGA), is proposed by introducing immune concepts and methods into quantum-inspired genetic algorithm (QGA). In application to the knapsack problem, which is a well-known combinatorial optimization problem, the proposed algorithm performs better than the conventional GA (CGA), the immune GA (IGA) and QGA. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2005.
