Abstract

In this paper we present which are the operations, that all programs that work with Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI), should run to execute to transform the initial set of images to calculate the ellipsoids to be used for the definition of the fiber tracks. At this time we do not care to check the quality of the results of different programs, because our interest is to seek difference options for using the information that is calculated in the intermediate steps, because now the programs only are using the information for the computation of fiber tracks. The second idea of the paper is the comparison of DTI with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
