Abstract

The St. Cassian Formation (Upper Ladinian-Lower Carnian, Dolomites, Northeastern Italy) has been the subject of numerous studies "with various approaches". The St. Cassian Formation was first mentioned in the first half of the nineteenth century (e.g., Wissmann and Münster 1841). © 2011 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
