Abstract

Imposter syndrome refers to those who believe that they are intellectual frauds, tricking those around them into believing that they are competent. Although present in many industries, the field of medicine has recently recognized how pervasive it is amongst trainees and clinicians. Surgical residents are not immune from the effects of imposter syndrome.
