Abstract

In 1957, a test on the control of German cockroaches, Blattella germanica L. was carried out in a hospital in Tokyo to evaluate the effectiveness of diazinon, treating the chemical narrowly around the shelters of roaches. The effect was determined by counting the number of cockroaches in four shelters. The population of the roaches was reduced to half of that of pretreatment in a few days and excellent control was obtained a month after the treatment.
