Abstract

The rise of complexity in technology and decaying economies worldwide have unwrapped challenges for the enterprises to manage the research and development on their own. There is a great competition in market alongside demanding requirements of customers. Therefore, in order to promote numerous types of businesses, it is important for the businesses to drive their growth using external resources. Open innovation indicates that the research and development is collaborative between different stakeholders while in closed innovation the process strictly follows the defined boundaries without any external involvement. Most of the tech giants and other large enterprises are moving towards open innovation. Moreover, collaboration of large enterprises with the Small and medium-sized enterprises is also very trending these days. This work proposes an intelligent decision support system to analyze a suitable innovation model for the all types of businesses generally and for telco enterprises in particular. The proposed fuzzy model intelligently predicts the suitable type of innovation model as per the market situation to help the companies decide model according to the current market trends.
