Abstract

This chapter reviews the history and practices of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in Indonesia with specific consideration as to the country's history as well as the development of psychotherapy. The training, science, and practice of CBT in Indonesia are reviewed and the regulations and organizations that assist in the dissemination and training of clinicians with CBT. Specific clinical applications are reviewed and adaptations for clinical work in Indonesia are highlighted.
