Abstract

Underground nuclear explosions UNE at the Semipalatinsk Test Site STS produced irreversible deformations in geological environment. Field study of these effects allow us to ascertain the basic mechanisms of man-induced desta-bilization of rocks, i.e. changes in physic-mechanical characteristics and filtering structure, hydrogeody namical and radiation situations.
