Abstract

A novel mixed numerical integral algorithm is proposed for the deformation simulation of soft tissues in virtual surgery system. First, a Mass-Spring System is built as the soft tissue's kinetic model. And then, a mixed numerical integral algorithm is derived to solve the model's deformation differential equations. At the end of the paper, results are presented as examples, which validate the effectiveness of our algorithm in improving simulation performance by reducing complexity and enhancing accuracy. © 2010 Springer-Verlag.
