Abstract

The article discusses the growth of soccer in the U.S. Some of the indicators of the growth of soccer in the U.S., include the plans to launch a women's professional soccer league, increase in attendance and the launching of stadiums of the Major League Soccer. Sunil Gulati, president of the U.S. Soccer Federation, relates the improvement in the performance of the U.S. soccer team. Jim Cosgrove, executive director of U.S. Youth Soccer, relates the growth in participation of young people in soccer.
