Abstract

This paper presents smart device interlocked robots partner for elderly care. Aging society in Japan can be a big serious problem. The number of caregivers is not enough in the current situation and is not expected to substantially increase in future. Hence, comprehensive care for elderly people should be provided by the local community. With the rapid development of ICT, it has been used to improve QOL and QOC for elderly people. Smart devices, especially, have become more familiar to us. In this paper, we introduce some applications for elderly care with smart device interlocked robot partners and discuss the scalability of the robot partner for the elderly care.
